I am excited to be included in the Central European House of Photography upcoming photo exhibition. My exhibit is titled: “Around Town” and will feature street scenes from cities in Europe – mostly my recent home city of Bratislava, Slovakia. I am honored to be invited to display my phot0s. I hope you can stop in for the opening on March 13th at 19:00 – or anytime over the next two months.
Below is the official newsletter from the Central European House of Photography. It gives information on the other two photographers; one is from Italy and the other is from Slovakia. See you on the 13th of March!
Happy New Year everyone! The following pictures, except for the one noted, were shot with my wife’s (wink) new Olympus PEN EPL-5. The Slovaks know how to put on a great show. Very festive night in Bratislava with plenty of pyrotechnics and good cheer! Na zdravie!
Here are some other pictures to enjoy!
The following picture was shot with my old reliable Canon 40D
During my walk last night through Old Town Bratislava, the sky showed some interesting patterns. My camera had a prime 50mm f1.8 lens on it. I placed it on a rail of a bridge that faced the Bratislava Castle. The exposure was 4 seconds long with an ISO of 100 and the aperture set at f8. When just walking around town, I will frequently put on my canon 50mm f1.8 lens. It is very light and captures excellent pictures. Last night Bratislava was hopping with several musicians performing throughout Old Town. There is a music festival (one of many throughout the year) going on until Sunday night.
